While the Auraria Campus is a bit sleepy during these different times, there is one area that is full of construction activity.
CU Denver City Heights Residence Hall and Learning Commons. Shortly after we announced this project in our Proposed Non-Residential Roundup at the end of 2019, construction had commenced. Present day, a tower crane has been installed and the elevator cores have begun to go vertical. As a refresher, this 182,000 square foot project will feature student housing, rising seven stories and providing 555 beds, a 20,000 square foot dining facility, and a three-story Learning Commons wing that will include a variety of student-support and academic-support functions.
Here are some recent photos of the project site.
That’s all for Auraria. While the city itself has been quiet for the past couple of months, construction activity is still taking place and projects are getting built. We will visit a couple more areas around downtown in the coming week.
