The former Greyhound station that occupied a whole city block bound by 19th and 20th Street, Curtis and Arapahoe Street, has been reduced to a near-empty parcel of developable land.

With demolition wrapping up, redevelopment plans are underway. Two developers, Golub & Company and Rockefeller Group, have proposed two 400 foot towers to occupy the site. The first tower will rise 38 stories containing 479 homes; it is unclear if these are condos or apartments at this time. The second tower will rise 28 stories and provide 732,000 square feet of office space. In addition, plans call for 32,000 square feet of ground-floor retail and 1088 parking spaces.

On the permitting side, a transportation plan was submitted on January 20. There are still a handful of permits to be filed before shovels can hit the ground, but progress is still being made.

Below are some photos of the demolition from when work started in November and the present day.

Currently, 19th Street between Lawrence Street, and Curtis Street, is a bit of a crater in the Downtown urban fabric. Hopefully, in the next year or so, we will see three 400 foot towers under construction, filling in these gaps.

While no formal development timeline has been announced, demolition of the station is a great first step.
