While we were photographing One River North, for the exciting news that it broke ground, we also noticed that the project site at FoundryLine has also gained a second tower crane. In just two short months, FoundryLine went from finishing excavation to now vertical progress.
As a refresher, this project will rise 17-stories and provide 348 apartment homes and 14,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Below are a few photos of the new tower crane and ground-level views of the project site.
In total, there are now six tower cranes up in River North, with only more to come as more projects get underway.
Excellent news and incredible momentum for the 38th and Blake station area. Any update on T3?
There still seems to be a food desert in this corner of RINO, although I did hear that least a drugstore was planned for a building a block from this site.
I live in the neighborhood. There is at least a dozen restaurants in a 10 block radius. Natural Grocers is about 4 blocks away.
Food Desert usually means lack of full-service grocery stores, I don’t think they meant there’s a lack of high-end restaurants. Natural Grocers is more of a specialty store…fairly expensive for what it is, and can’t get everything you need (they don’t have a deli, etc). I agree the addition of a King Soopers or Sprouts would be great for the neighborhood!
What happened to the mixed use project with a grocery store planned for 36th & Marion?

Would also love to hear more about this project.
Yes. Perfect for a Sprouts or Amazon market.
