If you caught the conclusion paragraph of our last River North roundup, we mentioned that something was brewing on DenverUrbanism. While the site was inactive the past couple of years, Andy Cushen, who you know from his excellent posts on DenverInfill, and James Warren have breathed new life into DenverUrbanism and have even started a podcast! We have been working hard to get the podcast on major platforms, such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts while providing access to offline downloads straight from DenverUrbanism and free streaming on YouTube; also, there is an RSS feed you can follow as well. All of those details can be found in the link below:

So, what does the DenverUrbanism Podcast cover? Andy and James explain below:

Going to work, talking with friends, and reading the news, you can feel the dynamism: Denver changes fast. Living here, we get to watch our city grow, certainly getting taller! Do you enjoy how 17th and 18th Streets don’t look the way they did five years ago? There is a bit more room for anyone not in a private vehicle. Do you like seeing all the new housing or all the new affordable units going up? More is coming all the time. Do you welcome new neighbors? Do you want to take them on a bike ride to their new home? Or perhaps you were new not too long ago and wish someone would have done that for you! Denver has changed fast in the last ten years, and there are real challenges to good city building here in Denver. Recognizing those challenges should involve considering the policies that created a problem or policies that might create a brighter future. Rather than just tweet about it (is that a verb anymore?), James Warren and Andy Cushen want to pull the conversation into a more stable, long-form space.

Two episodes of the podcast are now available; just follow the above link. You can also access the episodes directly and follow the podcast by clicking on the badges at the bottom of this post. New episodes will drop on DenverUrbanism, with notification posts on our social media feeds as well. We hope you enjoy the podcast!
