A few scenes of the Mile High City from the first day of the convention:
Being Downtown with this many people wandering about gives us a glimpse of our future, when the sidewalks of Downtown are like this every day. To get there, we just need to add a few ten thousand more Downtown residents, add a few ten thousand more Downtown workers, complete FasTracks, and be diligent about fully implementing the Downtown Area Plan. That sounds like a tall order, but it’s actually quite achievable.

God, denver was nuts last night. Never seen anything like it here. Reminds me of the east! If this is the future of denver, i'm hell bent on being a part of it.
I just hope you don't have to add ten thousand more cops and beatdowns as well!
Can't wait.
I'm really happy to see the images posted of the streets of Denver this week. My Office is in the financial district, and all my co-workers and I are working from home to avoid the stress and crowdedness, but these daily snapshots has satisfied my curiosity. Great, keep them coming, and thanks again!
Ken, thanks for sharing the pictures of downtown during the convention. For those of us who can't be in Denver in person, it really adds to the excitement of following the convention
I just moved from New York, and downtown the last few days really reminds me of home. It is FANTASTIC. It's surprising how boring buildings and tons of parking lots just disappear whenever there are enough people about.
Fantastic.
I agree with jellyneck. Downtown is going to seem lonely when this is over.
