Let’s completely wrap up SkyHouse Denver with a final look at the street-level and exteriors. SkyHouse, a 25-story, 354-unit apartment tower, started construction back in January 2015. DenverInfill has extensive coverage of this project:

SkyHouse makes a very large impact along Broadway and takes up one of the many surface parking lots that have riddled this area for years.
Looking straight up, we can see that the facade is mostly blue-green glass with concrete stripes that run along the entire height of the building. The base and first three-stories are beige which adds a nice contrast to the rest of the building.
Workers are putting on the final touches of the parking garage that sits directly behind SkyHouse. This garage features ground floor retail along with public parking.
Here are two closeups of the garage. In the beginning, we weren’t sure what the garage was going to look like, but it turned out great. The brown brick, ground floor retail, and lights along the entire structure make this superior to a lot of garages around Downtown Denver.
Lastly, here is the street level of the apartment tower. The landscaping is nearly complete and the sidewalk is now open along Broadway. The ground-floor retail pads have been spoken for, so we should start to see tenants move in within the next couple months as well.
SkyHouse opens up to residents November 1st, with leasing already underway. For floor plans and additional information, make sure you visit their website. Welcome to Downtown Denver, SkyHouse!
And then… blue awnings.
looks great. its nice to know that if my income somehow dramatically increases something like this is available. i especially enjoy the vertical nature of this project, i think residents will really enjoy living there
While I’m not really a fan of parking garages, this is one of the best I have ever seen. The ground floor retail, the mix of brick, and a few ornamental details go a long way. Even if the upper levels are merely car storage, I dare to say this parking garage is a positive contribution to our urban fabric.
Agreed. Among parking garages this one is a dandy.
This has to be one of the best looking parking garages in all of downtown. The brickwork and lighting are wonderful. Also, during an earlier discussing, Ken made a good point that separate garages (versus parking podiums) can easily be replaced with something else a few decades down the road. Meanwhile, buildings that incorporate parking into their base are pretty much stuck with those garages for the entire lifetime of the building.
That 2nd photo is fun. The Denver version of a SkyHouse turned out awesome.
This is also a great example of how balconies that aren’t recessed can still look very nice.
So cool to see this thing completed – I live close by and this was the first major construction site I’ve seen since moving here (actually this is the project that eventually led me to Denverinfill). Great coverage guys!
It would be cool to see a side by side photo of the old Cosmopolitan Hotel (if I’m not mistaken?) and the new Skyhouse from the same position.
